Things to Do in El Paso This February

February, though be it the shortest month of the year, is jammed packed with things to do here in the Sun City! Whether you’re into musicals, looking for your next outdoor adventure, or want to do something different with the kids, there’s something for everyone.

Take a look at look at what’s in store:

For the Broadway Lovers

Broadway’s hit KINKY BOOTS is making its way to the Plaza Theatre this February 9th. The show is a winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical and features tunes written by pop superstar Cyndi Lauper. Get your ticket(s) today before they sell out!

For the Kids

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with PBS KIDS at the Alamo Drafthouse on Saturday, February 16 at 10 a.m. The special screening will include “Happy Halentine’s Day & The Groundhog Way” from the show Nature Cat, “It’s Love Day/Love Day Surprise” from the fan favorite Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and “The Valentine’s Day Problem” from Peg + Cat. All ages are welcome and you can reserve a seat by making a $1-$5 donation that will go to our local PBS station. Reserve your tickets today here.

For the Adventure Seekers

If you enjoy running outdoors then you won’t want to miss the Lone Star 100. The Lone Star 100 is described as an unforgiving mountain race that takes place starting at around 5,000’ altitude and a climb of 7,192’ to complete the 50k! It’s considered the “hardest, gnarliest, and baddest race in the South.” The race will begin on February 9th at the Franklin Mountains State Park and go until February 10th. Learn more about it here and how you can register.

For the Foodies

You can catch the El Paso Downtown Artist and Farmers Market year-round on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union Plaza District located on Anthony St and San Francisco St. Not only will you find some of the freshest ingredients but you can have a taste at some of the most delicious vendors in town. A couple of regulars include Madre Nostra who sells fresh kombucha in flavors like pineapple tamarindo chile and orange ginger turmeric (yum!!) Is your mouth getting watery? For more information, be sure to visit the El Paso Downtown Artist and Farmers Market’s Facebook.
